US Policy, Venezuela & Latin
America
               Free Presentation by Roy Holman

When: Monday, July 7, 6:30pm
Where: Everett Library, Everett and Hoyt
With Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Evo Morales in Bolivia, Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua, and many other populist changes occurring throughout Latin America, what is the US policy and response? Is the US too occupied in the Middle East to notice? Is our mainstream media providing an accurate portrayal of the populist changes sweeping the region? How does this affect us at home?
Roy Holman attended a fact finding delegation with Witness for Peace in June, meeting with groups and individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and opinions. He will share his findings with slides and conversation. In the 1990s, Roy lived in Central America for 2 ˝ years doing peace work and investigating the effects of US policy. He speaks on KSER 90.7 each Thursday morning at 8:20am, and teaches yoga in Everett.
